About the role

This is a hands-on Heavy Duty Mechanic position working across a diverse range of heavy vehicles, road transport equipment, plant, and machinery. You will carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown support across our Port Hedland & Newman workshop and client sites throughout the Pilbara. The role will suit an experienced mechanic who takes pride in their work, can work independently when required, and is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and keeping our clients' equipment operating safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy vehicles, road transport equipment, plant, and machinery
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
Attend site-based breakdowns and carry out field repairs as required
Complete workshop and site-based maintenance activities
Conduct inspections and identify defects before they result in equipment failure
Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance documentation accurately
Work closely with the Workshop Manager, supervisors,



and clients to coordinate repairs and maintenance requirements
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

About you
Trade-qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent
Experience working with heavy vehicles, road transport equipment, plant, or machinery
Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on road trains and heavy transport equipment highly regarded
Previous mining or Pilbara site experience advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Valuable communication and problem-solving skills
Current Australian driver's licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
