About the Opportunity
Join a dedicated team delivering critical information and communication technology (ICT), workforce, and infrastructure capabilities within a major Defence environment.
Serve as the primary focal point for identifying, analysing, and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Contract/Engagement: Initial 12-month contract + extension options.
Location & Flexibility: Canberra, ACT (on-site).
Role & Responsibilities
Implement and adhere to comprehensive risk and issue management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate delivery threats.
Systematically analyse potential risks and issues to prevent project delays, scope creep, and budget variances.
Facilitate fortnightly risk and issue review meetings with Project Stream Leads, Project Directors, and Technical Specialists.
Develop and maintain up-to-date Risk and Issues Registers in alignment with approved Project Management Plans.
Formulate and obtain formal approval for proactive risk mitigation strategies to address emerging threats and opportunities.
Build and maintain a Branch Dependency Register detailing cross-program dependencies, impacts, and responsible owners.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
Technical Toolkit: Proficiency with enterprise risk, issue, and dependency management tools and frameworks.
Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Risk, Issues, and Dependency (RAID) Manager within a complex ICT or Defence project workplace.
Core Capabilities: Robust facilitation skills, structured analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary leadership teams.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
The client has specified that to be considered you must have defence experience.
