About the role

As a Semi-Trailer Fitter, you will work as part of our skilled fit-out team, transforming painted and fabricated skeletal livestock trailers into completed, road-ready equipment.

Key responsibilities
Installing and plumbing BPW airbag suspension and axle systems
Installing, plumbing and testing trailer air-brake systems
Completing trailer electrical wiring, lighting and fault-finding
Fitting major semi-trailer components and accessories
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Completing quality-control checks
Diagnosing and resolving fit-out issues
Assisting and supporting other members of the fit-out team
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to Rytrans quality standards

About you
Previous experience in semi-trailer fitting or heavy-vehicle fit-out
Knowledge of BPW suspension, axle and airbag systems
Experience plumbing trailer air-brake and suspension systems
Experience with trailer electrical wiring, lighting and diagnostics
A sound understanding of complete semi-trailer assembly
Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Pride in producing high-quality finished equipment
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and robust commitment to workplace safety




Relevant trade qualifications will be highly regarded; however, extensive practical experience within the semi-trailer or heavy-transport industry will also be considered
