About the role

Working as part of the warehouse and logistics team, your duties will include:
Operating a forklift to load, unload and move freight safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading trucks and delivery vehicles
Receiving, checking and processing incoming freight
Picking, preparing and staging orders for dispatch
Assisting with the movement and distribution of freight throughout the warehouse
Ensuring goods are handled, stored and secured correctly
Checking freight against consignment and delivery documentation
Maintaining accurate stock and warehouse records




Assisting with stocktakes and inventory control
Preparing freight for customer deliveries and collections
Keeping the warehouse, loading areas and workspaces clean, safe and organised
General warehouse, freight handling and manual handling duties as required

What we're looking for
Current Forklift Licence
Previous warehouse, logistics, freight or forklift experience
Experience in transport, distribution or a similar rapid-paced workplace is advantageous
Valuable physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling
Strong safety awareness and commitment to protected work practices
Positive attention to detail when handling freight and documentation
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
A positive, can-do attitude
Solid communication skills and a customer-focused approach
