We are currently seeking a casual labourer to join our Recycling Facility at Telegraph Point. These roles are available to support operations by filling in for absent staff and for potential longer‑term replacement roles, based on performance.
About the Role
Working within a busy recycling facility, you will play a vital role in waste diversion and sustainability by manually sorting recyclable materials on a conveyor line.
Key Duties
Standing at a conveyor belt for periods of up to 3 hours at a time
Hand-sorting recyclable materials into designated hoppers and chutes
Sorting items including plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles, and mixed domestic and commercial recyclables
Maintaining a secure and productive work area
Hours & Employment Type
Casual positions
Up to 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
Overtime available, as required
Shifts may be offered to cover absences or as ongoing replacement work, depending on suitability and performance
What We’re Looking For
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused attitude
Willingness to work in an industrial recycling setting
Previous labouring or recycling experience is advantageous but not essential
Must have Hep A and B immunisation and or willing to obtain. Proof of this will need to be presented.
