Lead Barista / Coffee All-Rounder — West End

We’re opening a new Vintage Market store in West End. Combining vintage clothing, vinyl and coffee in one space.

We’re looking for an experienced barista to help lead the coffee side of the store and become part of the wider Vintage Market team.

The coffee offering will be intentionally straightforward and high quality, with a focus on espresso coffee, iced drinks, matcha, cold foam drinks and a small food offering.

This role would suit someone who is confident working independently, enjoys customer service and wants to be involved in building a new coffee concept from the ground up.

What the role includes:
Preparing consistently high-quality espresso coffee
Permanent part time or casual
Making iced drinks, matcha and specialty cold drinks
Opening and closing the coffee station
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented workspace
Restocking milk, beans, cups and other supplies
Monitoring stock and communicating ordering requirements
Receiving and displaying food products
Providing friendly, efficient customer service
Helping develop seasonal drinks and specials
Assisting with the wider store during quieter coffee periods





We’re looking for someone who:
Wants approximately 15–35 hours of work each week
Has strong barista experience
Can confidently dial in and operate a commercial espresso machine
Can work efficiently during busy periods
Is reliable, organised and clean
Is comfortable working independently
Has solid customer service skills
Enjoys being part of a creative, fast-moving workplace
Has an interest in coffee, fashion, music or culture

High-volume coffee experience is highly regarded.

This is a great prospect for someone who wants more ownership than a standard barista role, without the structure of a large café chain.
