Position: Experienced Barista

As part of our Front of House team, you’ll be the friendly face of Durk’s Cafe, ensuring every customer has an unforgettable experience.

Your Responsibilities
Preparing and serving a wide range of specialty coffees and beverages
Maintaining consistency and high quality in every cup
Producing clean and professional latte art
Dialling in coffee and maintaining extraction consistency throughout service
Engaging with customers, taking orders, and providing excellent customer service
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the coffee preparation area
Collaborating with the team to create seasonal coffee offerings and improve service flow
Greeting customers with a warm and welcoming demeanour




Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
Maintaining a clean and tidy café environment
Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service

Requirements
Previous experience as a barista in a fast-paced café environment is essential
Confidence in milk texturing and latte art
Passion for coffee, hospitality, and customer service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required
Positive attitude with a solid team-player mentality
