The Rigby is a cafe, bar & bistro located in Maitland. We take pride in providing warm, friendly service & our team works hard to ensure our patrons have an enjoyable experience in our venue.

As ours is a small team, we all work together to ensure the venue runs smoothly, as such the role will encompass a variety of aspects. Here's a brief snapshot of some of the duties for this role:

Responsibilities:
Greet and seat customers upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Present menus to customers and answer any questions regarding menu items and specials.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and professionally.
General front of house cleaning duties.
Ensure tables are properly set
Monitor tables and promptly address any customer needs or concerns.
Drink preparation e.g. smoothies, fresh juice & milkshakes




Worth with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and accurate order delivery.
Process customer payments and issue accurate change.
Maintain a clean and organised work setting, including the dining area, dishes area & service stations
Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Requirements:
Valid RSA
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Strong communication abilities and the ability to work well in a team.
Ability to handle a rapid-paced setting and stay composed under pressure.
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Flexibility to work evenings & weekends as required.

Pay: $26.44 – $46.52 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
