Asees Indian Restaurant Wollongong owns and operates a full-service Indian restaurant and an adjoining function and events centre, catering to dine-in customers, private functions, weddings, and large group bookings.
Two full time Indian Curry Cook positions are available for an experienced trade-level cook specialising in Indian cuisine to support daily kitchen operations across restaurant and function services.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Indian Cuisine Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking Indian dishes in accordance with established menus and standards, including but not limited to:
Preparing and cooking a range of Indian cuisine dishes, including curries, vegetarian, and regional specialties
Assisting with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and storage
Cooking food according to menu specifications, portion control, and presentation standards
Monitoring food quality, taste, and consistency during service
Assisting with menu preparation under the direction of senior kitchen staff
Maintaining clean, organised, and hygienic food preparation and cooking areas
Storing food items correctly and monitoring stock rotation to minimise waste




Complying with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements
Assisting with basic stock control and kitchen record keeping
Supporting kitchen operations during peak service periods and function centre events

Skills and Experience Required
2–3 years of full-time experience as a Cook or similar role specialising in Indian cuisine
Trade qualification such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience preparing traditional Indian cuisine dishes
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced commercial kitchen
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused

Salary: $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Pay: $79,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
