Disability Youth Support Workers – Immediate start!
We are looking for caring, reliable, and supportive workers to assist a young person with their daily activities, personal development, and participation in Kambah, ACT. Our client is a young male participant living with Autism (Level 3), Mild Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Language Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Type E, which impacts balance, coordination, and physical endurance.
He enjoys practical hands-on activities, cooking, sports, humour, structured routines, and community participation.
The ideal candidates will be patient, respectful, compassionate, and committed to supporting the young person’s individual needs, independence, and wellbeing.
Essential requirements:
Demonstrated experience supporting young people,
preferably those with disability, complex needs, challenging behaviours, or psychosocial support needs
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, Youth Work, or equivalent
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
Availability to work adaptable shifts, including weekends, evenings or public holidays where required
