About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our talented culinary team at the Eagle Heights Mountain Resort. As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations and supporting the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time position based on Tamborine Mountain, Queensland.

What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management
Overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a timely and productive manner
Supervising and training kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders for necessary supplies and ingredients
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
Continuously seeking ways to improve kitchen operations and streamline processes

What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, resort-style environment
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and inspiring kitchen staff




Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure productive kitchen operations
A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience
