About the role

The role involves supporting a participant in her home and community with a range of daily living and personal support needs.

Key responsibilities
Personal care and assistance with daily living
Support with mobility and safe manual handling
Assistance with positioning and pressure care where required
Household tasks and meal preparation
Community access and appointments
Medication support in accordance with the participant's support requirements
Following participant-specific care and health management plans
Monitoring and reporting changes in wellbeing
Maintaining accurate progress notes and shift handovers
Providing respectful support within the participant's home

About you
Reliable and dependable
Calm, respectful and compassionate
Skilled and emotionally mature
Proactive and able to use initiative
Comfortable working independently
Respectful of privacy, dignity and personal choice
Confident with personal care and daily living support
Able to follow instructions, care plans and procedures
A valuable communicator with accurate documentation skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
