We are seeking an Open Pit Mining Specialist to join a growing gold producer and lead the transition of the project into an active surface mining operation.

Key Responsibilities
Provide visible and proactive safety leadership, embedding a solid risk management culture across the operation.
Lead, mentor, and develop Mining and Technical teams.
Manage the Mining Services Agreement.
Deliver mining plans, production targets, and cost outcomes.
Lead forecasting processes including annual budgets, quarterly updates, and monthly cost reporting.
Review and approve operational plans, budgets, and capital expenditure proposals.
Undertake statutory responsibilities as Quarry Manager.

About You





You are an accomplished mining leader with a solid track record of managing open-pit operations, developing technical capability and building high-performing teams.

Ideally you will have:
Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
Experience in mining leadership roles.
Solid knowledge of mining systems.
Proven ability to balance safety, production, and cost performance.
High level leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
