Booth Partners is looking for an experienced Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team.

This is a genuine work-from-home role for an experienced SMSF accountant who wants to take ownership of their work and manage an SMSF portfolio independently.

We are a long-established accounting firm based in Nowra on the NSW South Coast.

The Opportunity

You will manage an SMSF portfolio from start to finish, including:
Preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns
Using Class Super to complete fund accounts and annual compliance work
Managing investments, contributions, pensions and member balances
Ensuring funds meet their annual compliance and reporting requirements
Following up clients, advisers and auditors when information or clarification is needed
Ensuring files are complete, accurate and ready for audit
Keeping jobs moving
Working through complex SMSF accounting and compliance matters in consultation with the partners.

About You

You will have:




At least 5 years’ SMSF accounting experience in Australian public practice
Solid Class Super experience
The ability to independently prepare and finalise SMSF accounts and tax returns
A sound understanding of SMSF compliance, pensions, contributions, investments and member reporting
Great attention to detail and communication skills
The ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote role
