Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk
Identify risks and hazards within work area and notify supervisor
Actively advocate and motivate others to demand high standards of safety performance
Stop the job if an unsafe act or condition is observed and empower subordinates to do the same
Comply with Macmahon incident management procedures especially ensuring notification, reporting and investigation timeframes are achieved
Undertake field safety interactions (SAO and PTO), demonstrating a safety leadership culture

Technical/Operational
Perform applications to determine methods, equipment selection, facilities, costs, and staff requirements
Ensure maximum productivity
Provision of all aspects of engineering work (e.g. Drill & Blast, design, scheduling, equipment selection and the like) as required
Provision of technical engineering support and analysis to site staff as required
Daily Reporting collation, analysis, distribution and review with production team
Assist with the management of survey data and checks,



including formulation and finalisation of the Monthly Progress Claim (incl variations & dayworks)
Analysis of empirical fiscal returns, and the drivers impacting those returns
Assist in the development of, and ongoing engagement in, commercial based efficiency improvement projects.
Monitor, control and ensure that all work is conducted in a manner that ensures that the required quality is achieved within budget and timeframe
Interpret blast designs, mining schedules and other technical data

Commercial/Financial
Review and liaise with site technical teams on client schedules, equipment allocation and expected costs and revenue
Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims related to works
Assist the Project Manager to develop and mon

Team Contribution
Provide engineering, technical and contract support and assistance to the Commercial & Engineering Manager and mining team as required
