About the role

Orana Gardens' is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and upkeep of our residential aged care facility. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

What you'll be doing
Carry out a range of general maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical work
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building structures, equipment, and facilities
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address any issues that arise
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and costs
Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment for our residents
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for
Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role, ideally within the aged care or healthcare sector
Strong practical skills and knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and general handyman tasks
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our residents
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
