About the role
This is a workshop-based role focused on preparing, maintaining and supporting specialised portable machining equipment supplied to clients across Australia. Working with industry-leading equipment, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive reliable, well-maintained machinery and the technical support they need to get the job done.
Key responsibilities
Servicing, maintaining and repairing specialised portable machining equipment
Testing and preparing equipment for hire
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and operational issues
Preparing quotations and hire proposals
Managing equipment bookings and scheduling
Providing technical support to customers via phone and email
Supporting internal Client Representatives with equipment selection and application advice
Conducting pre-hire inspections and post-hire assessments
Managing workshop inventory, consumables and tooling
Ensuring all equipment and work practices comply with company safety and quality standards
About you
Trade qualification as a Machinist, Fitter Machinist, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent experience
Experience with portable machining equipment, including mobile milling machines, flange facing machines, clamshell cutting and beveling machines
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience maintaining precision machining equipment
Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
Positive written and verbal communication skills
Competent computer skills
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Full Australian working rights
