Motorcycle Salesperson / Light Vehicle Mechanic – Part-Time

KOVE & Thumpstar Motorcycles – Rockingham, WA

Part time | Approx. 1–3 Days Per Week + Shop Cover

We are looking for a Motorcycle Salesperson / Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our KOVE & Thumpstar motorcycle store in Rockingham.

This is a adaptable part-time position, with mechanical work generally around 1–3 days per week, depending on workload. You will also need to be available to cover the store when the Shop Manager is sick, on leave or unavailable, sometimes at short notice.

Because of the short-notice nature of the shop cover, we are ideally looking for someone who lives within approximately 10–15 minutes of Rockingham.

This role would be ideal for someone who has a genuine passion for motorcycles, dirt bikes and the motorcycle industry and is looking for an ongoing part-time position.

What You Will Be Doing
Motorcycle servicing, repairs and diagnostics
Pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and new bike assembly
Warranty repairs and general maintenance
Motorcycle sales and assisting customers
Handling phone and online enquiries
Taking payments and completing sales paperwork
Opening and operating the store when covering the Shop Manager
Keeping the workshop and showroom organised





What We Are Looking For
Qualified Motorcycle Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic preferred
Motorcycle mechanical experience highly regarded
Genuine interest and passion for motorcycles and dirt bikes
Confident talking with customers and selling motorcycles
Reliable and able to work independently
Versatile availability for occasional short-notice shop cover
Ideally located within 10–15 minutes of Rockingham
Current driver’s licence
Must hold or be able to obtain a WA Motor Vehicle Salesperson’s Licence The position will generally provide 1–2 regular days of work per week, with additional hours available when the Shop Manager requires cover.
