Head Chef — Soi 25 Restaurant & Bar, Pyrmont

Soi 25 has been serving Pyrmont since 2018. Following our 4.0 relaunch, we're cooking authentic regional Thai — Northern, Central and Southern styles, with the occasional Western influence — from a proven menu that's already earning its keep. We're looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen and hold the line on quality, service after service.

The role
Lead lunch and dinner service, Tuesday to Saturday
38–40 hours per week
$85,000 per year super
Work to an established menu and recipe bible — you're executing and refining, not rebuilding
Own prep, quality, food cost, ordering, rostering and kitchen hygiene
Lead and train a small kitchen team

About you
Proven Head Chef, or a robust Sous Chef ready to step up
Solid Thai cuisine experience — wok skills, curry pastes, larb, som tum are second nature. Regional Thai exposure a big plus
Consistent execution under pressure, without cutting corners




Confident running a team: explicit communicator, calm on the pass
Robust on food safety and kitchen discipline
Australian working rights required from day one. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate from late 2028 onwards — happy to discuss for someone building a long-term future with us
