About the role The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician is responsible to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. This role will be under general supervision to perform a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of various equipment.
Key responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work
Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely
Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD's, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power
Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards
Work within OEM guidelines
Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously
Observe and supervise Vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required
Carry out Cause and Effect Testing
Attend system walkdowns
Complete rectification works as required
About you
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise
EEHA Certification
Current First Aid Certificate and LV Rescue
Ideally have nationally accredited training in Working at Heights
Current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence
