About the Role

Active Steel is seeking reliable Factory Hands/Labourers to join our busy Queensland steel-processing facility.

This is an entry-level opportunity, and previous factory or steel-industry experience is not required. Full training will be provided. We are looking for people with a positive attitude who are reliable, alert, safety-conscious and willing to assist wherever required.

Key Responsibilities
Tying, tagging and preparing steel bundles
Assisting with the movement and storage of bundles
Sorting steel, machine accessories and reusable offcuts
Supporting machine operators and production employees
Preparing completed work for loading and delivery
Keeping production and storage areas clean and organised
Assisting with general yard and factory tasks
Following all safety procedures and supervisor instructions





About You To be successful in this role, we require a motivated and safety-focused individual with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team workplace.
Be reliable, punctual and willing to work
Remain alert and aware in a high-risk, fast-moving setting
Follow instructions and protected-working procedures
Be willing to learn and undertake training
Work effectively as part of a team
Show initiative and assist with tasks without needing constant direction
Be comfortable performing physical and manual work
Communicate respectfully and professionally

Previous factory experience would be beneficial but not essential.
