About the role
We are looking for a reliable and engaging Support Worker to support a young participant on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3:00pm–6:00pm.
The role involves supporting the participant with their afternoon routine, community activities and PEG feeding. PEG feeding is a straightforward part of the participant's routine, with workers provided with the relevant care instructions and support to follow the established plan.
You will be supporting the participant one-on-one and helping them have a positive, secure and enjoyable afternoon.
Key responsibilities
Support the participant with their afternoon routine
Assist with their established PEG feeding routine
Follow the participant's individual care and support plans
Support community access and activities
Build a positive and engaging relationship with the participant
Provide protected,
respectful and consistent support
About you
Experience supporting children or young people with disability is preferred
PEG feeding experience is highly regarded, but training and support can be provided to the right person
Comfortable following care plans and established instructions
Reliable and able to commit to regular Thursday and Friday afternoon shifts
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Working With Children Check
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in disability support
Positive communication skills and a calm, patient approach
Engaging, interactive and comfortable working with a young participant
Shift availability
Thursday and Friday
3:00pm – 6:00pm
