Key Duties
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults in diesel-powered machinery.
Perform servicing, preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, fuel systems and hydraulic systems.
Conduct fault finding using computer diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
Service and repair forklifts, telehandlers, agricultural machinery, scissor lifts and associated equipment.
Perform breakdown repairs and field service work as required.
Complete maintenance reports, inspection records and job documentation.
Ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Essential Requirements
Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered machinery.
Ability to read technical manuals and utilise diagnostic equipment.
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Forklift licence.
Experience working with Toyota Material Handling, Manitou, JLG, agricultural or earthmoving equipment.
Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience.
