About the Role

Little Malaysia Pty Ltd is a Malaysian restaurant based in Sydney. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Malaysian and Southeast Asian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Malaysian and Southeast Asian dishes.
Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food preparation.
Ensure meals are prepared consistently and according to restaurant standards.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen workplace.




Assist with stock rotation, food storage and inventory control.
Work closely with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Follow food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements
Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook.
Experience or good knowledge of Malaysian and Southeast Asian cuisine is highly regarded.
Valuable understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
