Paediatrician
to lead paediatric services at Mount Isa Hospital as
Director of Paediatrics

About the Role
n

As Director of Paediatrics, you will:
n
n
Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.
n
Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination.
n
Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns.
n
Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.
n
Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
n




About You
n
n
n
FRACP in Paediatrics
or equivalent, with
current AHPRA specialist registration
or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration.
n
Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.
n
Proven leadership skills, preferably with
Head of Department experience
.
n
Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
n
Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.
n
