Fire Engineer – Large Fire Consultancy

Salary: A$95k – A$110k + package

About the Consultancy
n
n
An exciting opportunity exists for a Fire Engineer to join a growing fire engineering consultancy on the Gold Coast. Working alongside experienced engineers and industry specialists, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, aviation, defence, and infrastructure sectors.
n
n
This role offers the opportunity to develop innovative, performance-based fire safety solutions while working within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, career development, and client service.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
n
Deliver fire engineering solutions across a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
n
Prepare Fire Engineering Briefs (FEBs), Fire Engineering Reports (FERs), and Performance Solutions in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC).
n
Undertake fire and evacuation modelling using industry-standard software.
n
Conduct fire safety assessments and compliance reviews.
n
Collaborate with architects, developers, building surveyors, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
n
Participate in design workshops, stakeholder meetings, and client presentations.
n
Provide technical advice on fire safety strategies and risk management.
n




Support project delivery from concept design through to construction and occupancy.
n
Contribute to business development activities and maintain robust client relationships.
n
Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate.
n

About You
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
n
n
A degree qualification in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
n
Experience within a fire engineering consultancy workplace.
n
Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and performance-based design methodologies.
n
Experience preparing fire engineering assessments and technical reports.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
n
