Design Lead | High-end E-commerce Digital Agency

A fast-growing, industry-leading digital agency specialising in premium Shopify Plus e-commerce experiences is looking for a Design Lead to elevate the creative output of their design team. Clients include some of Australia's most well-respected brands and fast-growing local and international startups.
n
This is a leadership role combining hands-on design capability with mentoring, strategic thinking, and cross-team collaboration. You'll own creative direction, design operations, and team development, working closely with project managers and engineers to deliver premium digital experiences.

What you'll do:

Lead the development and review of UI/UX concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables
n
n
Mentor and grow a design team through reviews, training, and career development
n
n
Contribute to scoping new work,



including time and cost estimates
n
n
Own QA and design standards across all digital touchpoints
n
n
Collaborate with a Creative Director on evolving the studio's design services
n
n
What they're looking for:

Solid digital design background with genuine team leadership experience
n
n
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, responsive web design, accessibility
n
n
Outstanding eye for typography, layout, interaction, and UX conventions
n
n
Comfortable scoping work, managing timelines, and collaborating with PMs/devs
n
n
Agency or studio background preferred
n
n
Hybrid working, flexibility, and the chance to shape studio-wide design standards.
