Medical Receptionist – Podiatry Practice EST 2002

Reception, Administration and Office All-Rounder

· Part time role – 2 days per week with potential for more hours (Tuesday and Wednesday to replace outgoing staff member)

· Skilled busy podiatry clinic with a supportive team atmosphere

· Heavily phone and computer-oriented role. Rebooking patients.

· Take EFTPOS payments, process private health and Medicare claims.

· Applicant needs very confident level of Windows computer skills and has experience with Microsoft Excel. Basic data entry level Excel proficiency is required

· Must grasp computer concepts quickly and have positive retention of procedures.

Gensolve Practice management on Windows PC - needs to be highly competent with Excel/Word/Onedrive

· Medical reception experience is preferred. Podiatry reception experience a outstanding advantage.

You will be the first point of contact for incoming phone inquiries,



managing patient requests and appointment bookings. The role also includes assisting other staff with sterilising instruments, ordering stock, sorting and entering GP correspondence, as well as keeping the clinic clean and orderly. The role is often assisted by a second front desk staff member for some hours of the day most days of the week.

Training will be fully on site and during work hours. The applicant must be willing to work throughout the year, including most school holidays. The applicant will be asked to fill in for other reception staff when they are unavailable or on holidays.

A minimum of 2 years of medical reception experience is required. Australian citizenship is required for this position.

The position if casual but can be converted to part time if the successful applicant prefers.
