nAbout the Rolen
nOur client is a leading steel fabricator specializing in large-scale structural projects bridges, mining infrastructure, and commercial buildings. Precision, quality, and safety are at the core of their workshop operations. We are recruiting an experienced Welder to join their team and deliver high-integrity welds on heavy steel sections to exact engineering specifications.n
n
nKey Duties and Responsibilitiesn
n• Interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specification sheets to determine material grades, joint configurations, and correct welding procedures.n
n• Select, inspect, and prepare metal stock; cut marked-out structural sections using oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and guillotines to precise dimensions.n
n• Shape and bend steel beams, channels, and pipes using hydraulic presses, bending rolls, and manual heating/hammering techniques to achieve required profiles.n
n• Align and fit components using clamps, jigs, and measuring tools; join sections via MIG, TIG, flux-cored arc welding,



and bolting/riveting methods.n
n• Examine completed welds for bead width, penetration depth, and dimensional accuracy; perform visual checks and assist with non-destructive testing.n
n• Finish products by grinding, filing, polishing, and cleaning weld zones; apply protective coatings or acid baths as per project standards.n

nRequirementsn
n• Minimum two years' welding experience in structural steel fabrication; relevant trade certificate (or equivalent) and current welding certifications.n
n• Robust ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols; thorough knowledge of weld procedures and site safety protocols.n
n• Capable of welding in all positions on heavy plate and sections; comfortable operating overhead cranes and workshop machinery.n
n• Relevant qualification to above field.n
