Alice Springs, NT (Hospital Based)

Contracts:
4-12 weeks

Summary - About The Role
n
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Remote Area Nurses for short contracts to provide health care services to remote communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in underserved areas and capable of working autonomously and within a agile team in challenging environments.

As a Registered Nurse, Your Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
n
Conducting and documenting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs upon admission and during care as required for specialty area.
n
n
Developing individualised care plans based on patients' assessment data, treatment goals, and preferences, collaborating with patients,



their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to create holistic care plans.
n
n
Administering medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and institutional protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects and take appropriate action as needed.
n
n
Evaluating patients' progress toward goals and modifying care plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
n
n
Collaborating and communicating effectively with members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
n
n
Communicating patient information, changes in condition, and care plans clearly and concisely during handoffs and shift changes and refer when required.
n
n
n
n
Understanding of patient safety and quality education and delivery of services in accordance with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards, Work Health & Safety Act, and Ministry of Health risk management frameworks
n
n
What We Require From You
n
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
n
n
AHPRA registration current with NO restrictions or conditions
n
n
Minimum of 2 years experience in specialty area
n
Able to demonstrate high level of clinical reasoning, critical thinking and evidence-based practice
n
Recognised Postgraduate qualification in specialty area eg ED, ICU, Theatre
n
n
Evidence of prior service
n
n
National police certificate
n
n
A valid and up to date Ochre Card
n
n
