Key Areas of Responsibility
n
· Provide technical guidance and innovation for the timely resolution of queries and issues.
n · Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions, ensuring technical accuracy and quality
n · Identify the learning and development needs for yourself and mentor less experienced team members to ensure a high level of technical capability.
n · Support EDL Operations with the safe and timely resolution of issues
n · Effective implementation of Electrical engineering standards and technical documentation
n · Certify schemes as a registered professional engineer as required
n · Support team members and work collaboratively to contribute to achieving the team's objectives
n · Enhance EDL's Electrical capability through improving existing processes, and staying updated with industry trends
n · Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations
n · Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company's employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors
n · In addition to the duties set out above,



the Senior Engineers may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company

Qualifications and Experience
n · Washington Accord recognised degree in Electrical Engineering
n · Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (CPEng)
n · Member of the Board Skilled Engineers Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards this
n · In-depth knowledge and experience in the Electrical Engineering field with 10 years' experience
n · Understanding of safety principles in design with a core emphasis on effective risk management
n · Experience with heavy industry (e.g., mining, power generation, oil & gas) would be an advantage
n · Experience facilitating design and project reviews, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and safety reviews desirable
