About the Prospect
n We are currently seeking a confident and results-driven
Sales & Marketing Intern
to join an innovative Australian
food-tech business
in Melbourne.
n
n This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to build practical Australian experience in
sales, business development, digital marketing and client acquisition
while working with a technology platform designed for the restaurant industry.
n
n You will be directly involved in approaching restaurant owners, presenting the platform, generating new business opportunities and helping restaurants get successfully onboarded.
n This is not a desk-only internship. We are looking for someone who is confident getting out into the market, meeting business owners and building relationships.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Visit restaurants across Wyndham and surrounding Melbourne suburbs
n
Approach restaurant owners and managers to introduce the company's digital platform
n
Present the platform and explain its benefits to prospective restaurant partners
n
Support restaurants through the onboarding process
n
Generate new leads through face-to-face visits, phone calls, email and social media
n
Follow up prospective restaurant partners and support conversion
n




Promote the mobile app through restaurants, QR codes, local events and community engagement
n
Help drive app downloads, customer registrations and first orders
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant partners
n
Track leads, onboarding activity and sales results
n
Support local sales and marketing campaigns
n
Who We're Looking For
n
nWe are particularly interested in candidates with a
Sales and/or Marketing background
who are confident speaking directly with potential clients.n
nTo succeed in this internship, you should have:n
n
n
Previous exposure to
sales, marketing, business development, hospitality or customer service
n
Confidence approaching restaurant owners face-to-face
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
A proactive and results-oriented attitude
n
Good follow-up and organisational skills
n
The ability to work independently and achieve agreed targets
n
Confidence using mobile apps and digital technology
n
Interest in startups, food-tech and digital platforms
n
A valid driver's licence and access to your own vehicle are highly desirable due to restaurant visits across Melbourne.

nExperience within hospitality or Melbourne's multicultural restaurant sector will be highly regarded.n
