Senior Risk & Controls Manager

12-Month Contract | Sydney

KPP Search is partnering with a leading logistics and supply chain business to appoint a Senior Risk & Controls Manager on a 12-month contract.

This is a newly focused chance to work closely with Finance leadership — including the CFO, Finance Director and Controllership teams — to build and strengthen the organisation’s risk and controls workplace.

The business is undergoing significant change and investing heavily in its governance, risk and control capabilities. This is a build-and-shape role , requiring someone who can develop practical frameworks, establish effective controls and embed risk management across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with CFO, FD, Controllership and senior Finance stakeholders on key risks and controls.
Develop and implement risk management and controls frameworks .
Identify key risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Develop practical risk, control and governance processes that support the business.
Partner with Finance teams across onshore, offshore and shared-service environments .




Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted risk adviser.
Work collaboratively across Risk, Finance, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance.
Coach and support stakeholders to strengthen risk and control capability.

About You
Significant experience in risk management, operational risk, enterprise risk or internal audit .
Solid understanding of Finance environments, ideally with exposure to CFO, FD or Controllership functions .
Experience building or implementing risk and controls frameworks .
Understanding of offshore, shared-service or outsourced finance models .
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Pragmatic, commercial approach to risk and controls.
Comfortable working in a changing environment and building capability from the ground up.
Relevant risk, audit, accounting or finance qualifications advantageous.
