Depot Manager (Distribution) | Perthshire | Circa £40,000 to £42,000 + Profit Share An established wholesale distribution business in Perthshire is looking for a Depot Manager to take full ownership of their warehouse and delivery operation.

The package is worth mentioning upfront. Alongside a salary of up to £42,000, there's an uncapped profit share scheme that could realistically add 20% to your earnings.

The Depot

Manager has more influence over site profitability than almost anyone else in the business, so this is a genuine incentive tied directly to how well you do the job.

You'll lead a team of around 12 people, including warehouse staff and drivers, and report directly to the Site Lead. This is a number two position in a business where local leadership genuinely matters.

The role has a specific set of requirements. If you can tick these off, it's worth reading on:
O Licence compliance for a small vehicle fleet, including audits every six months and routine servicing
Route planning across two internal vehicles,



with smart outsourcing decisions on remaining deliveries to balance courier costs against service standards
Cross border import and export movements between Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland using the Trader Support Service (TSS)
Full Health and Safety ownership, including annual audits and staff training
On site equipment management, waste handling and recycling processes

Beyond the technical requirements, this is a role for someone who can run a tight operation without being told to. You'll need to:
Lead from the floor, not just the office
Control operational costs without cutting things that actually add value
Manage courier relationships and hold them to service standards
Keep warehouse standards consistent and compliant
Develop a team that performs well without needing constant direction
