As part of Gallagher's Animal Management business, eShepherdTM has developed virtual fencing technology that is transforming livestock management globally.Using GPS-enabled, solar-powered collars, farmers can remotely manage livestock without the need for traditional fencing, improving productivity while supporting better environmental and animal welfare outcomes.We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Melbourne-based eShepherd team and help develop the next generation of products behind this rapidly expanding technology platform.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on engineering role where you'll contribute across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and circuit design through to prototyping, testing, validation and production.Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help create robust electronic solutions that perform reliably in challenging real-world environments.
You'll collaborate closely with software, mechanical, product and manufacturing teams to bring creative ideas to life and deliver products used by customers around the world.This is an opportunity to work on technology that combines electronics, embedded systems, connectivity and IoT while seeing your work move quickly from concept into commercial deployment.What You'll Be DoingDesign and develop electronic circuitry for new and existing productsContribute to product development from concept through to productionBuild, test and validate prototypesConduct troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and design verificationSupport PCB design,



schematic capture and electronics development activitiesEnsure products meet EMC, electrical safety and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with Software, Product, Manufacturing and Quality teamsWork with suppliers and manufacturing partners to deliver quality outcomesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practiceParticipate in technical reviews and engineering problem-solvingWhat You'll BringDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similarExperience designing and developing commercial electronic productsStrong analogue and digital electronics design capabilityExperience with PCB design tools and electronics development processesUnderstanding of product development and manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of EMC compliance and electrical safety requirementsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience working with IoT devices, battery-powered products, embedded systems, wireless communications or ruggedised hardware environments will be highly regarded.Why Join eShepherd?
