nWe are seeking a passionate and nurturing Child Care Worker for an exclusive partnership with a prestigious, community-focused preschool. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in the power of a holistic, play-based approach and values creating a warm, homelike environment for children. The centre prides itself on its beautiful, natural settings and its philosophy that emphasises emotional security, creativity, and foundational learning through exploration. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute to this nurturing atmosphere, design a stimulating program inspired by the Early Years Learning Framework, and build strong, cooperative relationships with families and the wider community. nKey Duties & Responsibilities:n
nProgram Delivery & Child Development:n
n• Design and implement stimulating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)n
n• Facilitate intentional teaching moments through play-based activities including storytelling, music, art and sensory explorationn
n• Observe and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with familiesn
n• Guide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategiesn
n
nDaily Care & Wellbeing:n
n• Maintain impeccable hygiene standards including nappy changing, toileting assistance and mealtime supervisionn
n• Create predictable routines that provide children with emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learningn
n• Conduct thorough safety checks of indoor/outdoor environments and resources before activitiesn
n• Administer first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needsn
n
nFamily & Community Engagement:n
n• Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updatesn
n• Collaborate with room leaders to create displays that make children's learning visible to parentsn
n• Participate in community events and centre initiatives that strengthen family connectionsn
n
nCompliance & Professionalism:n
n• Maintain current working with children check - first aid certification and relevant qualificationsn
n• Contribute to quality improvement processes through reflective practicen
n• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance practicen
n
nSkills & Requirements:n
n• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)n
n• Proven 1-year minimum experience in long day care or similar setting.n
n• Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standardsn
n• Genuine passion for early childhood development with endless patience and creativityn
n• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates as well as proof of vaccinationn
n• Working with children rightsn
n• Police checkn
n• Strong communication skills to engage with children, colleagues and familiesn
n• References from previous employersn
