Cook / Chef – Breakfast & Lunch Café

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook / Chef to join our team in our busy country café.

We serve breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, with a menu that focuses on fresh, generous and delicious café food. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in what they put on the plate and enjoys working in a friendly, rapid-paced environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch service, including:
Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
Breakfast and lunch service
Food preparation and kitchen organisation
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Working efficiently during busy service periods
Assisting with menu preparation and specials
Stock rotation and minimising food wastage
Working collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen team

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a Cook, Chef or experienced Café Cook
Is confident working across breakfast and lunch service
Can work independently while also being a team player
Has a valuable understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Is organised,



reliable and able to work well under pressure
Takes pride in presentation and consistency
Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a small team
Has a genuine passion for positive food

Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential for the right person with relevant café cooking experience.

The Hours The café operates 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, so flexibility across weekdays and weekends is required.
