The Role
We are seeking a highly capable
Venue Manager
to lead operations at
The Merrywell
, a high energy, high volume venue with a capacity of up to 858 guests.
As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations, leading from the front to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant venue performance.
You'll oversee a diverse and large team, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence.
About You
We're looking for a strong and inspiring leader who thrives in a fast paced workplace and is passionate about developing teams and driving performance.
You will bring:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Venue Manager in a high volume hospitality environment
Proven ability to
lead, motivate and engage large teams

Robust experience managing
QR-based operations
and technology driven service models
A proactive approach with the ability to
plan ahead and prepare for upcoming events and peak trade




A hands-on leadership style, leading by example and
setting high standards for your team
Demonstrated ability to
work across a 24/7 operational roster
Full working rights in Australia (no working restrictions)
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of daily venue operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
Lead, coach and develop a large, diverse team to achieve operational excellence
Maintain high standards of
compliance, structure, and organisation
across all areas of the venue
Drive a culture of
integrity, accountability, and guest focus
Manage rostering, labour costs, and performance outcomes effectively
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of events and activations
Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency
To be successful, you'll:
Hold or willing to obtain a current Approved Managers License & RSA
