The Role
We're looking for a driven and capable Project Engineer to join our team in Wodonga, supporting the successful delivery of civil and utility infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Project Managers, site teams, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role across the full project lifecycle – from planning and coordination through to delivery and close-out – ensuring strong performance across safety, cost, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities
Provide technical advice and support to site teams and stakeholders
Monitor project progress, cost, and performance against budget and programme
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement processes
Support contract administration including variations, delays, and EOTs
Conduct site audits, inspections, and ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and site records
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to interpret requirements and ensure project success
Assist in cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting




Ensure all works are delivered in line with contract requirements, specifications, and company standards
What you bring
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
Proven experience in civil or utility infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and project delivery
Experience working in site-based roles within a contractor environment
Ability to manage subcontractors, timelines, and competing priorities
Robust communication skills with the ability to work across site teams and stakeholders
A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capability
Knowledge of Australian standards, legislation, and WH&S; practices
