Our client is a large, ASX listed, globally operating SaaS business, headquartered in Brisbane with operations spanning multiple international markets. Backed by a robust balance sheet and a genuine growth agenda, they're investing heavily in the maturity of their finance function.

About the Role n

This is a senior, hands on position for someone who wants genuine ownership rather than a narrow lane. You'll work closely with the Financial Controller, taking on meaningful controllership responsibility as the function scales, and acting as a technical point of reference for the wider team. It suits someone who's ready to move beyond execution into shaping how the business accounts for complex, judgement heavy areas.

Own revenue recognition processes and technical accounting positions across global entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, manage intercompany accounting and support cash flow and treasury reporting
n
Review contracts and commercial arrangements from an accounting lens, partnering closely with Legal and Commercial teams
n
Lead elements of month end close,



coach junior team members, and step into select Financial Controller responsibilities
n
Get involved in process improvement, automation and broader finance transformation work
n
Versatile early morning start to overlap with international stakeholders
n

About You nn
CA or CPA qualified
n
5+ years' experience in Financial Control, Technical Accounting, Audit or Corporate Reporting
n
Solid grounding in IFRS, particularly revenue recognition
n
Background in a chartered or audit workplace (Big 4 or large mid tier) highly regarded, backed by solid post qualified experience
n
NetSuite or similar ERP experience a bonus
n
Comfortable working across multiple entities, currencies and time zones
n
