Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong electrical fault-finding skills, PLC experience and a background working with automated production machinery.
You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing facility.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong electrical fault-finding skills, PLC experience and a background working with automated production machinery.
You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing facility.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding on manufacturing equipment
Diagnosing electrical faults and minimising production downtime
Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery
Working with automated production lines, motors, sensors, drives and control systems
Preventative and scheduled maintenance
Responding to machinery breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
Identifying recurring faults and assisting with equipment improvements
Supporting machine installations, upgrades and modifications
Working closely with production and maintenance teams
Completing maintenance documentation and reports
Following all WHS, electrical and site safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Qualified Electrical Fitter / Electrician with relevant Australian electricalqualifications/licensing
Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, food or industrial environment
Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
Experience working with automated manufacturing machinery
Strong electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Experience with motors, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systems
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
