Engineering Manager

This rolepresents a unique opportunity for an experiencedEngineering Managerwho enjoysinfluencing projects from the earliest stages of development.
Initially focusedwithin our Precontracts team, you will play a key role in securing majorcivilinfrastructureprojects across Queensland and interstate,contributingengineeringexpertise to bids valued at $300M+.
Workingclosely with estimating, commercial and executive leadership teams, you willdevelop winning engineering solutions, methodologies, staging strategiesandconstructabilityplans that position Bielby for success.
Upon successfulproject award, there will be an opportunity to transition into a project-basedEngineeringManagerrole, leading engineering delivery on major civilinfrastructureprojectsin either metropolitan or regional locations.
This is anopportunity to help shape projects before they begin and then drive successfuloutcomes throughout delivery.
What You'll Do
Lead engineering inputs intomajor civil infrastructure tenders and project pursuits.
Developconstructionmethodologies,staging plans, temporary works solutions and projectdelivery strategies.
Drive constructability reviewsand identify creative solutions that improve project outcomes.
Partner with estimating andcommercial teams to develop competitive and deliverable bid submissions.




Assess technical risks andopportunities throughout bid development and project planning.
Review design documentation andprovide strategic engineering advice during tender stages.
Participate inclientpresentations,workshops and tender interviews.
Provide technical leadershipacross multidisciplinary pursuit teams.
Transition into project deliveryleadership following successful project award.
Lead engineering governance,design management and project engineering teams during delivery phases.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in CivilEngineering.
RPEQ, CPEng orequivalentprofessionalaccreditation.
15+ years' experience deliveringmajor civil infrastructure projects.
Extensive Design & Constructproject experience.
Strong expertiseinconstructability,temporary works, staging and projectengineeringleadership.
Experience contributing to majortenders and project pursuits.
Strong understanding of road,bridge, transport and civil infrastructure delivery.
Proven ability toleadmultidisciplinaryengineering teams.
Strong commercial acumen andunderstanding of project delivery risks.
Excellent stakeholder engagementand communication skills.
