Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Nurse Unit Manager to lead our healthcare team in a multipurpose setting. This is an exciting time to join Alpine Health. We are investing in service enhancements that will directly support the NUM role, including the employment of a dedicated Social Worker and the establishment of a new Allied Health team, strengthening multidisciplinary acute care and enabling a more sustainable and supported leadership environment.

Key Responsibilities:
n
As Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership to a skilled acute care nursing team, with responsibility for the coordination of high-quality clinical care and the day-to-day operational management of the unit.
n

Providing strong clinical leadership that promotes safe, high-quality patient care
n
Leading and supporting nursing staff to foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture
n
Overseeing unit operations, including staffing, patient flow and resource management
n
Driving quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
n
Ensuring compliance with clinical standards, accreditation requirements and organisational policies
n
Working closely with medical, allied health and support services to optimise care delivery
n
Contributing to service planning, change initiatives and workforce development
n
n
Essential:
n
You are an experienced nurse leader who brings:
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Previous experience in a nursing leadership or management role
n
Strong clinical governance knowledge and a commitment to quality and safety
n
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to lead teams through change with confidence and empathy
n
A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
n
A commitment to professional development and contemporary practice
