The Seabreeze Hotel, Mackay, apart of Waymark Hotels, is seeking a Cook or Chef to join the team! Using only the freshest local produce, our restaurant is well known for its diverse and contemporary cuisine.

As a Chef / Cook, your daily responsibilities will include: /n

Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation across both venues

/n
Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared on time

/n
Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu

/n
Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures

/n
Assisting with menu changes when required

/n

Successful Candidate: To be successful in the role, you will possess the following: /n

Previous experience in a rapid-paced commercial kitchen

/n
Availability to work any hospitality hours

/n
Ability to work well under a high-pressure workplace

/n
Brilliant communication skills to all team members

/n

Applicants should have formal qualifications and at least 1 years of relevant employment experience or, in the absence of formal qualifications, have at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.

Benefits: The successful candidate will be provided with the following: /n

Full-time salary between $69,000 - $100,000 + Superannuation depending on experience
