The Prospect n
Join our growing Forensic team in Brisbane CBD and work alongside leading forensic accounting and valuation experts on complex commercial disputes. You will deliver high-quality analysis, build client relationships and contribute to a diverse range of challenging engagements, with excellent opportunities for growth opportunities and development.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Plan and deliver a range of forensic and advisory assignments, with an emphasis on dispute advisory and business valuation services.
n
Contribute to the preparation of independent expert reports and supporting financial models for dispute resolution purposes.
n
Quantify economic loss, damages and other remedies in the context of commercial disputes.
n
Perform valuations of businesses, shares and other equity, intellectual property and other intangible assets.
n
Review and critique the work of other expert accountants and valuers in legal proceedings.
n
Undertake company,
industry and other financial analysis.
n
Maintain compliance with professional and risk management processes.
n
Participate in business development, including relationship development and opportunity research.
n
About You n
n
A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. commerce, finance, business, economics, law). Ideally hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification (Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst) or have an interest in obtaining one.
n
Relevant professional experience, which may include forensic accounting, corporate finance, insolvency, audit, tax or other advisory services (dispute advisory and valuations experience will be highly regarded).
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, ideally with experience in building financial models including discounted cash flow analyses (familiarity with S&P; Capital IQ will also be highly regarded).
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Excellent presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
n
Strong business and commercial acumen.
