Our client is a well-established WA manufacturer supplying specialist permanent formwork systems to the construction industry. Due to significant growth, they are seeking two experienced Engineers for an initial 3–6 month contract.
n Working together, you will be responsible for redesigning and reconfiguring manufacturing machinery to reduce equipment footprint, improve production efficiency and support ongoing demand.
The Roles:
Senior / Lead Mechanical Machine Design Engineer
n This position will take the lead on the mechanical design and overall machine architecture, including:
n
n
Developing machinery concepts and redesign solutions
n
Completing mechanical calculations and component selection
n
Designing mechanical systems, mechanisms and machine layouts
n
Reducing the overall footprint of existing manufacturing equipment
n
Producing and reviewing SolidWorks designs
n
Supporting machinery modifications and implementation on site
n
Mechatronics / Automation Engineer or Mechanical Designer
n
nWorking alongside the Senior Engineer, this position will focus on detailed mechanical design and/or automation requirements, including:n
n
n
Producing detailed SolidWorks models and manufacturing drawings
n
Designing and modifying machine components
n
Assisting with machinery layout and equipment reconfiguration
n




Supporting automation requirements including sensors, servos and controls
n
Assisting with machine interfaces and system integration
n
Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities
n
n
About You:
n
nTo be considered for either role, you will ideally have: n
n
n
Relevant Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar Engineering qualifications
n
Strong machine design, manufacturing equipment or industrial automation experience, with proven concept-to-implementation exposure
n
SolidWorks proficiency
n
Experience across mechanical design, calculations, component selection & detailed CAD
n
Full working rights for the duration of the project
n
Driver's licence & reliable transport
n
