Sr. Visual COBOL Developer

Key Responsibilities
n
•Provide production support for enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and timely issue resolution.
n
•Manage and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes through problem management.
n
•Handle service requests in line with agreed service levels and operational procedures.
n
•Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and database issues.
n
•Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless application support.
n
•Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to enhance system stability and reliability.
n
•Participate in application maintenance, defect fixes, and minor enhancements.
n
•Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.




n
•Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and organizational support standards.
n
n
Required Skills & Experience
n
•Hands-on experience in Visual COBOL development and support.
n
•Experience working with Enterprise Server.
n
•Strong knowledge of Oracle Database.
n
•Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL.
n
•Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting.
n
•Hands-on experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management.
n
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a production support workplace.
n
•Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
n
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
