Emergency Department CMO (Career Medical Officer)

An excellent opportunity is available for anEmergency Department Career Medical Officer (CMO)to join abusy regional hospital on the NSW South Coast, commencingAugust ****.
Interviews arecurrently being scheduled, and the department is keen to connect with experienced doctors who enjoy working in a fast-paced Emergency environment.
Thismodern district hospitalservices a rapidly growing coastal community and provides a comprehensive range of services includingEmergency Medicine, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Mental Health.
TheEmergency Department operates 24/7 and manages a diverse case mix, offering strong exposure to acute presentations including trauma, medical emergencies, paediatrics and mental health.
CMOs play an important role within the department, working closely withFACEMs, registrars and nursing teamsto ensure safe and efficient patient care.
This position is well suited to doctors seekinglong-term stability in Emergency Medicine, while maintaining a good work-life balance in a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assessment, stabilisation and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Participation in a24/7 rotating rosterincluding evenings, nights and weekends
• Supervision and support of junior medical staff where appropriate




• Performing emergency procedures and participating in resuscitation of critically ill patients
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to patient handovers
Requirements
•MBBS or equivalent qualification
•AHPRA General Registration (or eligibility)
• Minimum3–4 years postgraduate experience, including Emergency Department experience
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to professional development
