We're seeking a versatile
Engineer Draftsperson
who brings a strong blend of technical knowledge, drafting capabilities and project documentation skills to help our Australian client's
Non Process Infrastructure business
. This remote role focuses on translating early design concepts and specific project briefs into precise technical drawings and detailled documentation that are blueprint ready for manufacturing and construction. This is a documentation and admin focused role.
Responsibilities n
Technical Drafting & Design:
n
n
Draft, format, and finalise high-quality engineering documents, including process descriptions, operating and maintenance manuals, safety protocols, and technical specifications for tender.
n
Utilise CAD software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD) to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings that meet industry and safety standards.
n
Support the drafting and development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;) for NPI utility systems (e.g., water, fuel, air, and lubrication facilities).
n
Collaborate with senior engineers to translate conceptual designs into detailed, construction-ready blueprints.
n
Maintain accurate records in the company's document control system, admin and document formatting in word and excel.

Project Engineering & Lifecycle Support:
n
n
Support NPI mining projects through all phases of the project lifecycle: PFS, DES, FEED, and Detailed Design.
n




Assist in the development of robust tender packages and construction-ready documentation for mining infrastructure.
n
Ensure precise design continuity across all project phases to minimise redesign, avoid scope creep, and ensure constructability.
n
Track project changes and ensure early project assumptions align with final engineering outcomes.
n

n
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related field.
n
Minimum 2+ years experience in a drafting or engineering role, preferably within the mining, heavy industry, or NPI sectors.
n
Advanced skills in
AutoCAD
(2D/3D) and
Revit
. Proficiency in
Navisworks
and with demonstrated experience creating P&IDs; and PFDs is a strong advantage.
n
Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to produce explicit, compliant tender documents and engineering reports.
n

Eager to learn, motivated and open to problem solving new challenges.
n
Ability to work independently and take initiative with problem-solving skills.
n
n
n
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
n
Excellent English skills (writing and speaking)

Nice to have
n
n
Experience with Australian WA mining standards or Non-Process Infrastructure is a huge bonus.
n
Background in modular and scalable infrastructure design.
n
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
n

n
