We're looking for a
Medical Receptionist
to join our multidisciplinary team at
Canungra Health Centre
on a
casual basis
, providing backfill coverage for our permanent team members.
n
Rostered days will vary depending on the site's backfill requirements but will generally be
Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm
.

About The Health Centre n
Canungra Health Centre is located a short drive from the Gold Coast and on Kokoda Barracks. This is where officers and soldiers in the Australian Army Intelligence Corps complete their initial employment training, and all-corps training is conducted throughout officer and soldier careers. It was established in **** for Army jungle warfare and infantry training. It was closed from ***********, however reactivated during the Vietnam War. Services provided include primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy,
mental health and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours of the centre are generally Monday - Friday.

Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.
What You'll Do n
n
Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.
n
Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.
n
Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.
n
Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.
n
Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.

What You Bring n
n
Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)
n
Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete
n
Solid oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
